German tuner Brabus has unveiled the BRABUS WIDESTAR - a wide-body version of the Mercedes SLS AMG.

The tuning begins with the carbon-fiber body kit which includes a front spoiler, rear spoiler, rear diffuser, and, of course, the wide body paneling for the fenders featuring air dams and side outlets.

The extra girth widens the SLS AMG by 20 mm at the back which allows the Brabus SLS AMG to be fitted with lightweight forged wheels - BRABUS Monoblock F PLATINUM EDITION in 9.5Jx20 (front) and 11Jx21 (rear) dimensions. Tires on offer are Pirelli or Yokohama in 275/30 ZR 20 and 295/25 ZR 21. The new set of wheels are available in a brushed-design or ceramics-polished surface and can be had in any color.

Also part of the tuning package is an electronically adjustable suspension kit from Bilstein featuring Ride Control and stiffer sway bars for the front and rear axles. The Bilstein kit allows the SLS AMG to be lowered by up to 30 mm.

Brabus adds its own titanium performance exhaust system which weights only 12 kg (40 percent less than the production exhaust) and boosts output by 10 PS (7.4 kW). It comes with four slanted exhaust tips and sound management to handle the vocals for the 6.2 liter V8.

For the interior, Brabus offers carbon-fiber inlays in a variety of colors and matte anodized aluminum pedals and foot rest. The new sport steering wheel is lined with a combination of Alcantara and leather. A 400 km/h (250 mph) speedometer is fitted too. Brabus tops things off with a final upholstery finish in leather and Alcantara again.
